BVCOG has put together small business resources including the Revolving Loan fund, Small Business Development Center and more for the Brazos Valley Community.

Small Business Resources

The BVCOG Economic & Community Development program has identified a variety of small business resources for the Brazos Valley Community.

  • Revolving Loan Fund - The Revolving Loan Fund is designed to support business activities when a full amount of needed credit is unavailable from a financial institution.

  • Small Business Development Center - Provide business advising for start-up & existing businesses, webinars, business training and assist with loan application documents.

  • USDA Rural Business Development Grant - This program is designed for communities and towns to request funds to provide technical assistance and training for small rural businesses. Small means that the business has fewer than 50 new workers and less than $1 million in gross revenue.

  • Section 3 Business Registry  - Per HUD.GOV, this is a searchable online database that lists firms that meet the definition of a Section 3 business. This list can be used by agencies that receive HUD funds to facilitate the award of HUD-funded contracts and can be used by Section 3 residents to identify businesses that may have HUD-funded employment opportunities.
