The BVCOG Economic & Community Development program has identified a variety of community resources for the Brazos Valley Community.

Infrastructure Funding

• Economic Development Administration - 2020 PUBLIC WORKS AND ECONOMIC ADJUSTMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS - Provide economically distressed communities and regions with comprehensive and flexible resources to address a wide variety of economic needs. 
  
  
• Texas Department of Agriculture: Texas Capital Fund - Downtown Revitalization Program - Address the objective of eliminating slum or blight conditions in the downtown area of the community by the following objectives. The assistance must be for public infrastructure improvements, which will aid in the elimination of a slum or blighted area. 
  
  
• TxDept of Ag. - Community Development Fund - Most funds are used for Public Facilities (water/wastewater infrastructure, street, and drainage improvements and housing activities), there are numerous other activities for which these funds may be used. 
  
  

Planning Funding

• Economic Development Administration: PLANNING PROGRAM AND LOCAL TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM - EDA supports Partnership Planning investments to facilitate the development, implementation, revision, or replacement of Comprehensive Economic Development Strategies (CEDS), which articulate and prioritize the strategic economic goals of recipients’ respective regions. 
  
  
• Texas Department of Agriculture- Planning & Capacity Building Fund - Localities apply for financial assistance to prepare a “comprehensive plan” or any of its components. Typical activities regard topics such as: Base Mapping, Land Use, Housing, Population, Economic Development and/or Tourism, Central Business District, Street Conditions, Thoroughfares, Parks and Recreation, Water Distribution and Supply, Wastewater Collection and Treatment, Drainage (streets & flood hazard areas), Gas or Electric Systems (if owned by the locality), Community Facilities, Capital Improvements Program, Zoning Ordinance, Subdivision Regulation.
