Volunteer for Senior Christmas

Make a difference this Christmas by volunteering for Senior Christmas! We’ll be assembling over 800 gifts and we need your help. This is a great opportunity for Youth Groups, Adult Sunday School Classes, Sports Teams, and any other social group to get involved. Gifts are assembled at the Brazos Valley Council of Governments at 3001 East 29th Street, Bryan Texas, and delivered to nursing homes during their Christmas parties, usually the first two weeks in December.

Send an email to RSVP for one of the following dates to assemble the gifts. During this time, you will be given a set of gift bags and wish lists for about 30 seniors, and you will fill each bag with the requested items. All items will be provided on-site.

 2021 Volunteer Dates

We have two great volunteer opportunities this year. We need volunteers to assist with bag checking and bag delivery. Bag checking volunteers help us check all of the gifts after they're dropped off to make sure all items have been included. Delivery drivers help take the bags to the nursing homes. Please see the dates below and use the link to register for the volunteer activity and date that works best for you.

Delivering to a nursing home provides a special opportunity to connect with the seniors, and many groups ask to deliver to the same homes year after year because of that special connection. You can deliver to nursing homes in Brenham, Bremond, Bryan, Caldwell, Centerville, College Station, Franklin, Hearne, Navasota, and Madisonville. If you would like to visit a nursing home but can’t make the drive to Bryan/College Station to pick up the gifts, we can arrange for delivery.
